I don't have TWW but can visit the event area and get simple achievements. Lvl 70 iLvl 463. Can do Timewalking Dungeons but The Blackrock Raid is closed to me (don't meet the requirements). All my previously acquired Timewalk gear has been dropped to iLvl 415 (from 476) and drops in these timewalks are also only 415. All my gear from Dragonflight runs are 460 or higher - so they did something in the latest patch. Also nobody wants me in any Party Crashing boss raids, so I pretty much accept there is zero content of value I will be able to get here. 

there's no "the originals" quest, the only quest to kill WB is the one that has them on tanaris.

You don’t need TWW to get the Invitation quest. I don’t have it and all my characters got the quest. 
However I think there is a limit to what you can do. The quests are there for you, but you may not be able to complete them. e.g. I’m told I’m not eligible to be transported to Blackrock Depths Raid by the quest giver. Who knows why? That’s why I’m here reading your guide.

Hey, thanks for your report, I've submitted a fix for the issue, the unlock requirements now state that you can participate in the event in a limited way without TWW.

Likewise, "The Originals" quest has been removed and I've mentioned the new pet dropped by Lord Kazzak this year.
