General Information

Welcome to our Perks page for Blunderbuss. Here, we give you an overview of how strong each perk is in each setting. Then, we present Jewelry perks and explain how strong and why each of them is.

1.

Perk Tierlists

All the perks below are usable in any Blunderbuss build. While there are many other perks in the game, these are the perks that are within the scope of having value when using a Blunderbuss and properly gearing your build.

2.

Blunderbuss Perks

The perks within this section include general weapon perks and Blunderbuss specific perks that are in the current META.

2.1.

S-Tier

  • Plagued Splitting Grenade Plagued Splitting Grenade — This should be located on your weapon, it will result in a large amount of healing reduction to the afflicted target(s).
  • Enchanted Enchanted — This will increase the damage of all 6-8 pellets coming from a basic aimed shot. It will not apply to abilities, but is still a neccessary damage option.
  • Flame Attunement Flame Attunement — This will not apply to every pellet, but it will add damage to every shot and ability. When combined with Fire Damage Fire Damage and Runeglass, it becomes even stronger.
2.2.

A-Tier

  • Leeching Shrapnel Blast Leeching Shrapnel Blast — Great defensive utility that keep you alive in both light and medium armor variants.
  • Exhaustive Net Shot Exhaustive Net Shot — If you can fit this into any armor piece, it will result in more pick potential to lock down individual targets.
  • Keen Keen — This can be valueable for increased damage output, but is not better than S-Tier options.
  • Keenly Empowered Keenly Empowered — When hitting headshots or critical hits, this will add more burst damage for a limited duration. It will often be active, but it can be difficult to control its activation.
2.3.

B-Tier

  • Venturing Claw Shot Venturing Claw Shot — If you do pull yourself to targets who are 10 meters away, this is a great way to add more damage and focus on killing priority targets. In most cases, you will not be grappling this range as it is near max range. It can also be awkward to land a Claw, so it will not always be valuable to have. It is more of a luxury than a necessity in terms of perks.
  • Vicious Vicious — This is a usable third perk option to increase burst potential.
  • Attunement Perks (Not Flame) — Flame Attunement Flame Attunement is the best option. Any elemental type will be a decent pickup to add more damage.
2.4.

C-Tier

  • Crippling Blast Shot Crippling Blast Shot — It is difficult to hit targets with Blast Shot Blast Shot and it is not normally taken in builds. This is often a wasted perk because there are better options, such as Net Shot Net Shot, to slow targets.
  • Resupplying Mortar Charge Resupplying Mortar Charge — This ability is not commonly used. Additionally, you have to land a killing blow with it to get an additional charge. This will rarely occur and it is better to take an alternative perk, even if you are using the ability.
  • Keenly Jagged Keenly Jagged — This can be used to add more DoT damage and generate Heartrune charge. It is not optimal for the most damage output.
    3.

    PvP Perks

The perks within this section include general armor perks for builds that are viable in the current PvP META.

    3.1.

    S-Tier

    • Freedom Freedom — Fantastic survivability option when stacked four times on armor pieces. Allows for you to get out of stuns, slows, and roots more quickly to save your life.
    • Elemental Aversion Elemental Aversion — Defensive option that can provide value when being hit by ranged attacks.
    • Enchanted Ward Enchanted Ward
    3.2.

    A-Tier

    • Refreshing Refreshing — Top-tier cooldown reduction option so that maximum cooldowns are shorter and abilities come online faster.
    3.3.

    B-Tier

    • Shirking Fortification Shirking Fortification — This provides a large amount of fortify and gives free defensiveness to players who are actively in the frontline.
    3.4.

    C-Tier

These options are somewhat filler perks that can be used on a three perk item so you have more value than a simple two perk item. They are low value perks in this aspect of gameplay and would not be the pick for a Best in Slot item.

    4.

    PvE Perks

    4.1.

    S-Tier

    • Refreshing Refreshing — Free cooldown reduction in PvE. This is generally a top pick due to the lackof needing PvP survivability perks.
    • Enchanted Ward Enchanted Ward
    4.2.

    A-Tier

    • Elemental Aversion Elemental Aversion — High value defensive option because of the rotating elemental types in mutated expeditions.
    • Shirking Fortification Shirking Fortification — Provides great defensiveness when threat is focused on you and you are forced to dodge enemies.
    4.3.

    B-Tier

    • Freedom Freedom — Can be beneficial to reduce CC effects from some enemy types.
    4.4.

    C-Tier

These options are somewhat filler perks that can be used on a three perk item so you have more value than a simple two perk item. They are low value perks in this aspect of gameplay and would not be the pick for a Best in Slot item.

    5.

    Jewelry Perks

The perks listed below are combined between amulet, ring, and earring. These are the best options for jewelry as a whole. Keep in mind that some of these perks are only able to go on a specific jewelry slot, for example Keen Awareness Keen Awareness can only go on a ring.

    5.1.

    S-Tier

    • Hearty Hearty — This is considered a required perk for your ring.
    • Health Health — This is just free health. This is crucial on any amulet for increased survivability.
    • Stamina Recovery Stamina Recovery — Great survivability option in any kit. When you are being dove on by enemies this has the potential to save your life.
    • Invigorated Punishment Invigorated Punishment — Necessary ring perk to increase damage in PvP. Typically used in medium builds, or light builds who want more consistent damage or are concerned about survivability. This will only be effective in PvP combat.
    • Fire Damage Fire Damage — This is your second damage perk that you will always run on your Ring. Use this in PvP and PvE.
    • Refreshing Toast Refreshing Toast — Incredible perk to increase self healing and Infused Regeneration Potion Infused Regeneration Potion usage to remove debuffs. This is a "must-have" on earring.
    • Purifying Toast Purifying Toast — Necessary for most frontline players in PvP to help with defensiveness and one's ability to play in the frontline. Removing a debuff such as a root, or a DoT, and can save your life.
    5.2.

    A-Tier

    • Slash Protection Slash Protection — Can be a great third perk option on amulet to help provide defensiveness against enemies using melee weapons who are trying to dive onto you.
    • Refreshing Refreshing — Can be placed as a third perk on an earring or used as a functional perk on other jewelry pieces.
    • Mortal Empowerment Mortal Empowerment — In light armor builds, especially War Hammer and Blunderbuss, this is the best option instead of Invigorated Punishment Invigorated Punishment. It will allow you to snowball into many kills and do very high amounts of damage. This will only be effective in PvP combat.
    5.3.

    B-Tier

    • Ice Damage Ice Damage — This can be used for Ice Gauntlet focused playstyles with Ice Spikes Ice Spikes
    • Thrust Protection Thrust ProtectionSlash Protection Slash Protection should be prioritized, but this can be used if you are struggling against damage from Bows, Muskets, and Blunderbusses.
    • Divine Divine — Can be a decent third perk option. Increasing healing received could save your life, but often times this amount is not enough and more defensive options have more value. This is a great PvE option instead of something like Stamina Recovery Stamina Recovery.
    • Regenerating Regenerating — Free additional healing over time. This can be a decent third perk option.
    5.4.

    C-Tier

These options are somewhat filler perks that can be used on a three perk item so you have more value than a simple two perk item. They are low value perks in this aspect of gameplay and would not be the pick for a Best in Slot item.
