Diluc Guide and Best Builds for Genshin Impact

Strengths

• Pyro Infusion will not be lost if you swap characters and swap back to Diluc.

Diluc is commonly played as your parties Main DPS, supported characters to boost his damage and off-field characters to create either Melt or Vaporize reactions.

Diluc has a wide range of similarly powerful weapon options with Beacon of the Reed Sea and Redhorn Stonethresher being best due to the CRIT that they offer. Depending on which weapon you use, you will want to consider changing the main stat for your Circlet.

With regards to Diluc's stat priorities, a Elemental Mastery Sands is important in team comps that often trigger Vaporize, otherwise ATK % is much more important.

Having a very low 40 Energy requirement for his Elemental Burst Dawn means that Diluc only requires around 115-120% Energy Recharge and can be fine with less if in a party with a Pyro support such as Bennett.

Your Elemental Burst Dawn deals large amounts of AoE Pyro DMG to enemies in front. More importantly, is that it also infuses your weapon with Pyro. You therefore want to use Dawn before the combo listed below.

Diluc's most popular combo while on-field is 2 Normal Attacks and then 1 hit of Searing Onslaught. This is then repeated two more times. Using characters such as Kaeya and Rosaria makes it easy to apply Cryo and subsequently create Melt reactions. Consistently creating Melt reactions can be difficult at times but it will come with practice and Melt teams often rewards more damage than the next team comp example.

Having characters such as Xingqiu and Yelan allows Diluc to easily proc Vaporize. You can even use both characters if you wanted to instead of Anemo characters such as Kaedehara Kazuha or Sucrose therefore enabling easy Vaporize reactions to occur.

Furina makes it easy for Diluc to have the ability to act more like a Hypercarry thanks to the damage buffs provided with Let the People Rejoice. This makes Jean a great healer option due to their healing allowing you to build Fanfare stacks and also providing Anemo RES Shred with the Viridescent Venerer artifact set. Bennett can still be a great option however. Mona is a good option for if Xingqiu is being used in a different team. Xingqiu will deal more damage than Mona but Mona increases Diluc's personal damage instead.
