Best Gems for Holy Paladin in MoP Remix
Gems are one of the unique ways to augment your character in MoP Remix, offering offensive, defensive, and utility benefits. On this page, we list the best gems for each type. To learn more about Gems in MoP Remix in general, check out our dedicated page below.
- Meta Gem: Ward of Salvation, Tireless Spirit, Funeral Pyre, or Locus of Power.
- The best meta gem will come down to whether you prefer buffing your allies, increasing your own stats, or gaining extra utility to make healing easier. It is recommended that you play around with each and find out which one you enjoy using the most.
- Cogwheel Gem: Blink
- Blink remains one of the strongest movement abilities in the game; being able to have this on a Holy Paladin helps to improve our already weak mobility. Roll, Wild Charge and Leap of Faith are other competitive choices that you could use if you find them fun.
- Prismatic Gems:
You will have a tremendous amount of stats as you start unlocking all Gem slots, and there is no single best stat to stack. Generally speaking, don't get too much critical strike to the point that you are overcapping on it during Avenging Wrath. From there you can target Haste and Mastery.
- Tinker Gems:
- Righteous Frenzy
- Savior
- Ankh of Reincarnation
- Brilliance
- Vampiric Aura
- Searing Light
- Freedom
- Warmth
- Deliverance
These Tinker Gems will all provide you with powerful healing increases or offer your group extra utility. If you instead want to output more damage you could opt for gems such as: Enkindle, Windweaver, Lightning Rod and any of the other damaging dealing gems.
Level by Level Rotation
To keep things simple while leveling and learning the spec, use the slider to select your level, and watch as the leveling rotation grows with each level!
Move the slider below to make the guide update to your level!
Leveling Rotation for Holy Paladin
When using our slider, note that some talents may appear sooner than you expect them to in the rotation. This is because we have two recommended builds above, each taking talents at slightly different times, and sometimes entirely different talents.
When you first create your Paladin, you will only have one ability available to you: Crusader Strike. At level 2, you will unlock Shield of the Righteous, and at level 3, you gain Judgment. At level 10, you can officially spec into Holy.
- Use Holy Shock on cooldown.
- Use Judgment on cooldown.
- Use Crusader Strike on cooldown.
- If you are fighting multiple targets, you can choose to drop Consecration.
Once you reach level 10, you will be able to queue for dungeons. If you plan on leveling as Holy, you will officially be able to spec into Holy, granting you access to an increased number of healing spells. Below we will break down how to heal effectively when leveling as a Holy Paladin. If you are interested in an in-depth rotation breakdown, you can check out our rotation page
- Cast Holy Shock off cooldown.
- Cast Hammer of Wrath when an enemy is below 20% Health to generate 1 Holy Power. Only do this if no one is in danger of dying.
- Cast Divine Toll if your party is in need of quick burst healing or if you want to damage enemies.
- Cast Aura Mastery if your group is taking large amounts of damage. Make sure you have Devotion Aura selected!
- Cast Avenging Wrath if your group is taking a lot of damage or you would like to deal more damage. This is your primary cooldown to increase your healing/damage.
- Cast Light of Dawn if you have 3 Holy Power and you have 3 or more allies in need of healing.
- Cast Word of Glory if you have 3 Holy Power and your target is in need of healing.
- Cast Holy Light if your target will not die before you finish the cast.
- Cast Flash of Light if your target is in danger of dying if they do not receive an immediate heal.
- Use your DPS rotation (detailed above) if no healing is required.
