Holy Priest Healing Gems, Enchants, and Consumables — The War Within (11.0.5)
On this page, we list the best gems, enchants, flasks, potions, and food you can get for your Holy Priest, based on your stat priority. We also give budget alternatives. This page is updated for World of Warcraft — The War Within (11.0.5).
If you were looking for WotLK Classic content, please refer to our WotLK Classic Holy Priest gems and enchants.
Best Gems for Holy Priests
The gems you will use depend on the content you are primarily focusing on. We suggest using Elusive Blasphemite instead of Insightful Blasphemite, as the value from the Insightful gem is quite small. The added bonus from an increase in movement speed is much more impactful to our throughput and survival. Should you not want the additional movement speed, Insightful Blasphemite is a perfectly good replacement.
Raiding
The Raid gemming prioritises Critical Strike and Mastery.
You should use Elusive Blasphemite in one socket. Ensure you have one gem of each type in other sockets to max out the effect of the gem, ideally Deadly Emerald/ Deadly Onyx/ Deadly Sapphire/ Masterful Ruby. Fill in remaining sockets with Masterful Ruby.
Dungeons
The Raid gemming prioritises Critical Strike and Haste.
You should use Elusive Blasphemite in one socket. Ensure you have one gem of each type in other sockets to max out the effect of the gem, ideally Deadly Emerald/ Deadly Onyx/ Deadly Sapphire/ Quick Ruby. Fill in remaining sockets with Quick Ruby.
Best Enchants for Holy Priests
Slot | Enchantment | |
---|---|---|
Weapon | Enchant Weapon - Authority of Fiery Resolve | |
Cloak | Enchant Cloak - Chant of Leeching Fangs | |
Chest | Enchant Chest - Crystalline Radiance | |
Bracers | Enchant Bracer - Chant of Armored Leech | |
Legs | Daybreak Spellthread | |
Boots | Enchant Boots - Scout's March | |
Rings | Enchant Ring - Radiant Critical Strike | Magnificent Jeweler's Setting (adds up to 2 sockets to a Ring or Neck) |
As a Holy Priest, stats are so close together for healing that you are largely free to use other stat enchants on rings if you prefer them. Mastery for Raiding and Haste for Dungeons are also good alternatives.
Should you find a specific encounter or dungeon has hefty movement requirements, you can also opt for numerous Speed boosts to assist. These include Enchant Bracer - Chant of Armored Speed to Wrist and the Elusive Blasphemite gem.
Consumables for Holy Priests
Best Flasks and Potions for Holy
Flask of Tempered Aggression should be used in raid and mythic+. Flask of Alchemical Chaos is a close second when using Tempered Potion as your potion, but is a much less reliable throughput increase.
For Mana return, Algari Mana Potion and Slumbering Soul Serum should both be kept available depending on the situation. While Slumbering Soul Serum is preferred; there are situations where you can not spend 10 seconds channeling and should instead use an Algari Mana Potion.
Tempered Potion is your recommended potion for burst healing throughput.
Algari Healing Potion acts as your healing potion. Each use will incur a 5-minute cooldown, but multiple can be consumed in an extended boss fight. In addition, a Warlock's Healthstones do not share a cooldown with other healing consumables.
Best Food for Holy
If available, Feast of the Divine Day / Feast of the Midnight Masquerade is your food of choice for some additional Intellect.
Weapon Runes
You should apply Algari Mana Oil to your weapon.
