Tips for Ulgrax the Devourer for Mistweaver Monk
Note that it is early days and that this section will be far more fleshed out as the Season progresses and cool tricks and tips are found.
Defensive Tips
- In phase 1, Fortifying Brew is great if you are assigned to soak during Carnivorous Contest.
- The rot damage in phase 2 is fairly predictable, so you can maximize value from Strength of Spirit by using Expel Harm later than you might otherwise feel comfortable.
Cooldown Usage
- Celestial Conduit is great to use during Carnivorous Contest as it can be used while moving, and its healing comes in waves.
Mechanical Tips
- If assigned to soak Carnivorous Contest have your Transcendence placed far from the boss to give you more options in dodging the pull. Conversely, you can set it up in melee range and use it to get back to the boss quickly instead.

Tips for Sikran for Mistweaver Monk
Defensive Tips
- Nothing fancy here yet, but do check back in after the Season has been out for a couple of weeks to see if any tricks or tips have been found.
Cooldown Usage
- Revival should be used to quickly top up the raid after the boss reaches 100 energy and casts Shattering Sweep
- Ticking raid damage can get pretty high when the boss destroys a large amount of active Cosmic Simulacrum, so be ready to line up Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent to try and counter as many of these damage events as you can.
Mechanical Tips
- Be on the lookout to Tiger's Lust slower classes who are afflicted with Phase Blades to ensure they can quickly position themselves at the edge of the room.

Tips for Rasha'nan for Mistweaver Monk
Defensive Tips
- Nothing fancy here yet, but do check back in after the Season has been out for a couple of weeks to see if any tricks or tips have been found.
Cooldown Usage
- The boss opens the fight by casting Erosive Spray, so you can use Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent basically as soon as the fight begins in order to get that cooldown rolling.
- Life Cocoon can be used on a tank prior to a Savage Assault cast in order to reduce the size of the DoT left on them.
Mechanical Tips
- Transcendence can be used to teleport across a Rolling Acid cast if either you or the person it was targeting was out of position.

Tips for Broodtwister Ovi'nax for Mistweaver Monk
Defensive Tips
- Use Fortifying Brew for each time the boss breaks open a new container.
Cooldown Usage
- Each time the boss moves to a new container, the raid will take heavy damage. This happens at the start of the fight, then about once every 3 minutes which lines up nicely with your Revival.
- It's also good to use Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent shortly after pull in order to get the cooldown rolling.
Mechanical Tips
- Be ready to use Spear Hand Strike to help your team interrupt the Voracious Worms that spawn from the medium sized eggs.
- Use Ring of Peace to create a barrier between the Blood Parasites and their fixate target.
- Make sure to keep whichever tank has Volatile Concoction topped off before the DoT expires. Life Cocoon can be used in the later half of its duration as a buffer to get the tank healthy.

Tips for Nexus-Princess Ky'veza for Mistweaver Monk
Defensive Tips
- There aren't many large hits on this fight, so just use Fortifying Brew if you find yourself to be in trouble. It's important to remember that the boss will execute you if you fall to 10% HP so don't feel the need to hold on to your defensives.
Cooldown Usage
- Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent can be used when the first Nether Rifts go out then for each subsequent set of new portals, which happens roughly every 2 minutes or so.
- Celestial Conduit is great to use once you are finished with your Yu'lon ramp, as the ticking damage from the Nether Rifts will still be going out.
- If you run Uplifted Spirits you will be able to Revival for each Starless Night phase, otherwise use it at your discretion.
Mechanical Tips
- If targeted with Twilight Massacre, drop your Transcendence on the boss before you run out to bait the charge so that you can quickly get back in position after handling the mechanic.

Tips for The Silken Court for Mistweaver Monk
Defensive Tips
- Liberal use of Fortifying Brew is recommended. Any time you are targeted with any mechanic, feel free to use it.
Cooldown Usage
- You can start the fight by using Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent, as the boss casts Venomous Rain very shortly after combat is engaged. You can use Yu'lon effectively on cooldown from there on due to the high frequency of damage events on this fight.
- Revival can be used to mass dispel the Stinging Swarm debuffs though this should only be used in a pinch as it triggers high burst raid damage.
Mechanical Tips
- Place Transcendence before a Web Vortex to quickly break your link with another player.

Tips for Queen Ansurek for Mistweaver Monk
Note that it is early days and that this section will be far more fleshed out as the Season progresses and cool tricks and tips are found.
Defensive Tips
- Use Fortifying Brew when afflicted with Frothy Toxin as it will last throughout both the DoT and the explosion at the end.
Cooldown Usage
- Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent can be used on pull to get the cooldown rolling, or saved for a Frothy Toxin explosion.
- Celestial Conduit is great to use during the knock-up of Reactive Froth as it can be used on the move.
- Be ready to use Life Cocoon on players who pick up the Acolyte's Essence in p3 as they will be taking heavy DoT damage.
Mechanical Tips
- Use Tiger's Lust to break the root that is applied by Silken Tomb.
- Use Ring of Peace to block the adds in p3 from reaching the boss.
- Make sure Transcendence is pre-placed on the edge of the room before Frothing Gluttony so you can quickly teleport over the ring and position yourself spread out from other players.

General Defensive Usage Notes
Mistweaver Monk is a fairly naturally tanky healer, thanks to our myriad of defensive talents like Martial Instincts and Bounce Back. For active defense, while we have quite a few options, your bread-and-butter choice is going to be Fortifying Brew. Using Expel Harm with Thunder Focus Tea grants us a moderately sized shield on a fairly low cooldown, at the cost of being able to spend the charge of Tea on Renewing Mist, so be on the lookout to make use of this when you can also gain value from the heal as well (damage events that happen in waves are perfect for this).
Most of the time, we will be taking Yu'lon's Grace for the overall damage reduction across the entire fight, but for encounters that require discrete magic mitigation, Diffuse Magic is another powerful option in our toolkit.
- Fortifying Brew
- Yu'lon's Grace
- Thunder Focus Tea + Expel Harm
- Life Cocoon
General Cooldown Usage
Mistweaver Monk has a few cooldowns to think about using optimally on the fights in Nerub-ar Palace:
- Invoke Yu'lon, the Jade Serpent — Our main cooldown. With proper play, it should be available every 2 minutes.
- Revival/ Restoral — A simple cooldown that heals everyone in the raid instantly when you press it. By default, Revival also dispels magic, poison, and disease from its targets - on fights in which dispelling at the wrong time could cause a wipe, you can talent into Restoral instead. It functions identically to Revival, except it can be used while stunned, and does not dispel magic anymore.
- Celestial Conduit — The Conduit of the Celestials Hero Talent cooldown. At a short 90-second cooldown, this ability should be used as frequently as possible.
