Introduction
Nerub-ar Palace is the first raid tier of the War Within expansion that contains 8 bosses. The raid opens on September 10, 2024, in North America, and on September 11, 2024, in Europe.
Nerub-ar Palace Lore
Deep within the kingdom of Azj-Kahet lies Nerub-ar Palace, Queen Ansurek’s seat of power. From this shadowed throne, Queen Ansurek has tightened her grip on her Sureki followers, leading them along a dark path to a new future. As her paranoia grows, the members of a conspiratorial Severed Threads launch their final gambit against Ansurek’s rule.>
Nerub-ar Palace Raid Unlock Schedule
Here is the unlock schedule for Nerub-ar Palace.
- Week of September 10: Nerub-ar Palace opens on Normal and Heroic Difficulty. Raid Finder Wing 1 opens.
- Week of September 17: Nerub-ar Palace Raid Finder Wing 2 opens along with the raid's Story Mode.
- Week of September 24: Nerub-ar Palace Raid Finder Wing 3 opens.
The minimum item level to queue up for the raid is 567.
Cross-Faction Mythic Nerub'ar Palace and Hall of Fame Eligibility
Hall of Fame entries will require a minimum of 16 out of 20 raiders from the same guild to be eligible for rewards.
Nerub-ar Palace Raid Entrance Location
The raid entrance is located in southern Azj-Kahet at 43.7, 90.4.
The nearest Flight Master is Tekazza located at The Burrows near the entrance to Ara-Kara, City of Echoes dungeon at 54.1, 44.3 in Azj-Kahet..
Nerub-ar Palace Raid Boss Guides
Nerub-ar Palace contains 8 raid bosses. The raid has a linear boss order. The only time where you can select which boss you kill is after defeating Rasha'nan. You can either go for Broodtwister Ovi'nax or for Nexus Princess Ky'veza before progressing to The Silken Court and Queen Ansurek

How to Unlock the Raid Skip in Nerub-ar Palace?
Inside the raid, you can pick up the Nerub-ar Palace: For Nerubian Eyes Only quest from Shadow Walker Tarvex. For the questy, you must collect 3 Signet of the Thousand Scars from Anub'arash and 3 Signet of the Skeinspiner from Skeinspiner Takazj on the same difficulty. When the quest is complete, you still need to kill Ulgrax and Bloodbound Horror to use the skip. Essentially, you will only skip Silkran and Rasha'nan with this skip, gaining access to Broodtwister Obi'nax, Nexus-Princess Ky'veza, and The Silken Court.
Nerub'ar Palace contains a raid skip that you can unlock via a quest that requires you to collect 3 quest items from The Silken Court on the same difficulty. This means it will take 3 weeks to unlock the raid skip. This section will be updated in the near future with more details about the raid skip, when we unlock it on live servers.
Soft Nerf for Nerub-ar Palace Raid Bosses
At the raid entrance, a NPC will offer you a repeatable turn-in quest called The Finer Things. To complete it,m you must gather 16 Nerub-ar Finery from raid bosses. Once complete, you will receive your first stack of Severed Strands that increases your damage and healing dne while inside the raid by 3%, stacking. The maximum amount of finery you can get per week is 8 with a rising weekly cap. Over the next few weeks, as you gather more finery, you will gain more stacks of the buff. Severed Strands stacks up to 6 times for a total of 18% increased damage and healing done!
Group Loot in Nerub-ar Palace
Group Loot is the only method of loot distribution in the raid. There is no option to return to Personal Loot. Certain items like professional reagents may still use Personal Loot where appropriate.
Loot Trading
All item-level restrictions placed on trading between members of your raid group are entirely removed. while inside the raid, allowing you to trade items with small item level increases that are not upgraded (rings, necklaces).
What is the Item Level of Loot in Nerub-ar Palace?
Nerub-ar Palace loot has fixed item-level ranges depending on the difficulty. Here are the exact item levels of rewards from Nerub-ar Palace (Unique Drops are omitted):
- Story Mode &mdashl Does not drop any loot;
- Raid Finder Difficulty: Item Level 584-593;
- Normal Difficulty: Item Level 597-606;
- Heroic Difficulty: Item Level 610-619;
- Mythic Difficulty: Item Level 623-632.
Very Rare Drops in Nerub-ar Palace
Certain raid bosses will have one or more items that intentionally drop at a higher item level from a boss's normal table. Such items include unique appearances, items with special bonus effects, or trinkets. The list of Unique Drops is fixed for each boss and does not change.

Bind-on-Equip (BoE) Items in Nerub-ar Palace
Bind-on-Equip items drop from 'Lieutenant' enemies once per week per difficulty. Trash mobs will no longer drop BoE items in The War Within.
Bind-on-Equip Rules in First Weeks of The War Within Season 1
For the first few weeks of The War Within Season 1, Bind-on-Equip items will drop as Bind-on-Pickup items in Mythic Nerub-ar Palace. Other difficulties are not affected by the restriction, and BoE items will drop from Day 1.
Nerub-ar Palace Tier Sets
Nerub-ar Palace Tier Sets drop from the following raid bosses:
- Helm Tokens: The Silken Court;
- Shoulder Tokens: Rasha'nan;
- Chest Tokens: Broodtwister Ovi'nax;
- Gloves Tokens: Sikran, Captain of the Sureki;
- Leg Tokens: Nexus-Princess Ky'veza.
Tier tokens are used to create a soulbound class set item appropriate for your class.
- Dreadful tokens are shared between Death Knights, Warlock, and Demon Hunters.
- Mystic tokens are shared between Hunters, Druids, and Mages.
- Venerated tokens are shared between Paladins, Priest, and Shamans.
- Zenith tokens are shared between Warriors, Rogues, Monks, and Evokers.
Queen Ansurek's Omnitoken
Queen Ansurek, the final raid boss, drops an omnitoken that you can exchange for 1 class set piece at Kir'xal in The Burrows (Azj-Kahet). All classes can roll for the Web-Wrapped Curio. The item level of the class set piece depends on Raid difficulty.

Raid Rewards and Achievements

Glory of Nerub-ar Raider Meta-Achievement
The meta-achievement this time around is called Glory of the Nerub-ar Raider. To complete it, you must earn the following raid achievements: Slimy Yet Satisfying, You Can't See Me, Sik Parry Bro, Cowabunga, Would You Still /love Me if I Was a Worm..., Kill Streak, Love is in the Lair, Missed 'Em by That Much.
Upon completing the achievement, you will receive the Reins of the Shadowed Swarmite mount.
Mythic Queen Ansurek Mount
Those brave enough to defeat Queen Ansurek on Mythic difficulty will receive the Reins of the Ascendant Skyrazor mount.
Additional Visual Options for Nerub-ar Palace Class Set Appearances
Additional Visual effects for Neru-bar Palace class sets are unlocked via Luminous Nerubian Catalyst Stone. The item comes from the Web-Wrapped in the Finest Silks achievement. In order to get it, you must earn one of the following achievements or feats of strength:
- Mythic: Queen Ansurek — Defeat Queen Ansurek on Mythic difficulty.
- The War Within Keystone Hero: Season One — Attain a Mythic+ Rating of at least 2,500 during The War Within Season One.
- Elite: The War Within Season 1 — Earn the rank of Elite in The War Within Season 1.
Nerub-ar Palace Mythic Hall of Fame Achievement
Players who earn the Hall of Fame: Queen Ansurek achievement will receive the Famed Slayer title. The achievement requires players to be among the first 200 guilds worldwide to defeat the final boss of the tier on Mythic difficulty.
Titles
Defeating Queen Ansurek on Mythic Difficulty ( Mythic: Queen Ansurek) rewards the Queenslayer title.
Ahead of the Curve and Cutting Edge Nerub-ar Palace Achievements
Ahead of the Curve: Queen Ansurek is the Heroic achievement for this raid tier and requires the defeat of Queen Ansurek on Heroic before the release of the next raid tier.
Cutting Edge: Queen Ansurek is the Mythic achievement, requiring players to kill Mythic Queen Ansurek before the release of the next raid.
