Stats Guide for Blacksmithing in The War Within

All stats have their uses, and Blacksmithing can make great use out of Multicraft and Ingenuity when crafting Consumables or Reagents, and of Ingenuity and Resourcefulness when crafting gear for combat or professions.

Keep in mind that once you are fully maxed with profession skill, gear, and talents, you will be able to produce maximum rank items when using Rank 3 materials naturally, without needing to use Concentration, so at that point you should either swap all of your Ingenuity gear to Resourcefulness or use lower rank materials plus Concentration, instead.

Also, specific to Blacksmithing, is the Everburning Ignition mechanic. Knowledge you invest into the Everburning Forge tree grants high stat bonuses, but only while you have Everburning Ignition active, which is a cooldown craft. Thus, you should aim to have all of your daily crafting done within the Everburning Ignition buff duration once you start unlocking this tree.

Blacksmiths, like most other professions, can use three pieces of gear at once, 1 tool and 2 accessories. Blue-quality gear is best in slot.

Quality is a big factor in the stats you can get from the gear. Green versions are bind on equip and from trainer recipes, but blue versions require specialization, faction, or renown grinding for their recipe and are bind on pickup, requiring you to submit a Crafting Order for them.

Remember to enchant your crafting tool with your choice of Enchant Tool - Algari Ingenuity or Enchant Tool - Algari Resourcefulness.

You can also use the Alchemy-crafted Phials Phial of Concentrated Ingenuity, Phial of Enhanced Ambidexterity, or Phial of Bountiful Seasons during the Winter part of the year to temporarily increase your crafting stats.

Finally, consider using optional reagents such as Mirror Powder and Concentration Concentrate on expensive crafts that can benefit from their one-time boosts, as these tend to be quite cheap, especially at low ranks!
