Restoration Druid has enough throughput to get through almost any healing situation, good crowd control, and one of the best tank cooldowns in the game.

Mythic+ Utility for Restoration Druid in The War Within Season 1
Restoration Druid provides much more to the group than just healing. Due to the nature of dungeon content, you will be expected to do damage, crowd control, and heal all at the same time.
Utility of Restoration Druid in The War Within
Interrupts, Stuns and Stops
Skull Bash is our "kick". It is recommended to spec into it, especially if your group uses more ranged players. The following macro will shift you into Cat Form if you are not in either Cat Form or Bear Form. On the second press, it will interrupt. If you are in either of those, it will interrupt on the first click.
- #showtooltip Skull Bash
- /cast [nostance:1,nostance:2] Cat Form
- /cast Skull Bash
Stunning and "Stops"
Incapacitating Roar is our "AoE stop". You need to be somewhat close to the mobs to use it, so keep that in mind and position yourself accordingly.
You can use Typhoon for a similar effect, but keep in mind that it will displace the mobs and potentially move them out of damage zones. We recommend using it in combination with Ursol's Vortex whenever possible.
Hibernate puts enemy Beast or Dragonkin to sleep for up to 40 seconds. Any damage will awaken the target. Hibernate works in the same way as Entangling Roots for stopping patrolling packs in dungeons without pulling them. It can also be used to interrupt casts of NPCs without removing DoTs from the target. This spell should only be taken for Incorporeal weeks.
Cyclone can be used to make certain enemies immune to everything for 6 seconds. Make sure you use it with caution because you will also make them immune to taking damage, which might slow your group down instead of helping. This is another talent that will probably never be taken.
Other Utility
Soothe is probably our most notable utility outside of AoE stops. It will remove all Enrage effects from the target.
Improved Nature's Cure is a talent that will make your dispel also remove Poison and Curse effects. Make sure you are always specced into it for dungeons that have either of those.
Stampeding Roar will let your group either move faster between the packs or help some slower players move out of dangerous mechanics. We recommend speccing into Improved Stampeding Roar.
Entangling Roots can be used to root patrols. If you apply them to the leading mob in the group, the entire patrol will stop moving. It is useful in tight quarters or to skip certain packs altogether.
Ursol's Vortex conjures a ground zone for 10 seconds that will slow all enemies affected by 50%. It will also pull them to the center after the first time they attempt to leave the circle. It is an extremely powerful tool for kiting. You can pair Ursol's Vortex with Typhoon to group packs on top of each other for better AoE.
Restoration Druid Mythic+ Rotation
While there is no specific rotation you should follow in Mythic+ content, it is important to know which spells are most efficient to cast or do the most healing so that you can make better-informed decisions.
- Keep Efflorescence down. This is by far the best spell both in terms of Mana efficiency and healing output per global spent. This is especially important with Verdancy.
- Keep Lifebloom on a tank by default. There will be a lot of situations where keeping it on 2 DPS players will be optimal. Try to never keep it on yourself.
- Use Grove Guardians often. Do not sit on 3 charges.
- Use Regrowth with Rampant Growth talent to put 3 Regrowth HoTs up.
- Use Swiftmend to activate Soul of the Forest. You should only be using this to buff Wild Growth when your entire group is damaged. Otherwise, use it on Regrowths or even Rejuvenation if you are specced into Thriving Vegetation.
- Keep Rejuvenation on an active tank and any players with debuffs. Avoid casting too many unnecessary Rejuvenations. A lot of small damage can be healed passively by your AoE healing or even self-healed by players themselves.
- Use Regrowth as an emergency heal.
You should almost never keep Lifebloom on yourself because the bloom portion of Photosynthesis is stronger than the tick rate on HoTs. Place it on some DPS player, preferably ranged. The only exception would be only you taking damage.
If you look at the priority, you should notice how far down both Rejuvenation and Regrowth are. Your first instinct in most situations should be to use more efficient healing spells, which are listed at the top. Once all of them are on cooldown, you can go back to Rejuvenations and Regrowths.
Grove Guardians is a good spell to have for low to medium damage. You can use them in any form, and the cast itself is off global cooldown
During downtime from healing, you should be actively looking to deal as much damage as you can. The rotation might be complicated to master fully, but you should still learn which spells to prioritize to time more keys.

Gear and Best in Slot for Restoration Druids for Dungeons
There is no obvious Best in Slot list possible due to the varying nature of damage intake in different dungeons, but you can get a general direction running mostly Haste and Mastery pieces in the slots with similar item level. Replace Mastery with Versatility and Crit as you feel necessary. Basically, run Mastery up until you do not need more of it to heal damage. Most Druids at higher levels aim to have as close to 0 Mastery from gear as possible.
Make sure you check the Gear page for trinkets and significant item recommendations.
Specific Affix Recommendations
While most affixes do not need any specific advice, some can be abused by a Restoration Druid toolkit or pose a lot more threat than others. We will try to provide some examples and advice here.
Xal'atath's Bargain: Ascendant
This affix will spawn 10 NPCs that start casting. The idea is to use AOE crowd control to interrupt the cast and gain the buffs. Incapacitating Roar or Typhoon are perfect for this.
Xal'atath's Bargain: Oblivion
This affix is quite simple; you just need to soak the small crystals moving toward enemies. You can utilise Stampeding Roar to buff your group's movement speed when they spawn, but it really should not be needed.
Xal'atath's Bargain: Devour
This affix will spawn a rift that you will have to dispel and heal off. Dispel whoever either cannot dispel themselves, or who do not have your Lifebloom up. This is a very good spot to use Soul of the Forest coupled with Nature's Swiftness and Regrowth.
If you dispel instantly on application, you will be able to dispel once more towards the end. Keep this in my mind and do not heal the second target you are planning to dispel needlessly.
Xal'atath's Bargain: Voidbound
This is not necessarily a healer affix, because it is just an NPC your group needs to kill as soon as possible. You can at the very least apply DoTs to it and possibly use Ferocious Bite.
