The Interphos Trial Guide
Welcome to our guide to the Interphos, the third trial of Dawntrail. This guide aims to prepare players for the encounter so they will know what to expect, with simple mechanic instructions and notes on what to watch out for.
Introduction
A world free of suffering and loss... This earnest wish, made by the young Queen Sphene in her final moments, was realized centuries later in the form of Living Memory, the twisted paradise behind the legend of the golden city. In order to obtain the aether needed to sustain the sanctuary's recreated denizens, Sphene has shed her conscience─the memories she had as a living person─to arise as within the Meso Terminal a terrifying entity possessed of absolute authority. Thus empowered, she now seeks to initiate interdimensional fusion and harvest the life force of people in other worlds, and it falls to you to stop her before untold lives are sacrificed.
Unlock Requirements
The Interphos can be unlocked at level 100 during the main scenario quest "Dawntrail." It is the final trial players will encounter in Dawntrail and is located in Living Memory. Players above level 100 will be level synced to level 100 when entering.
Queen Eternal Trial Guide
You will fight the Queen Eternal on a platform that changes depending on the mechanic. You can fall off the arena.
Phase One
Mechanics
The Queen Eternal has the following mechanics during the entire fight:
- Legitimate Force: The Queen raises her hands and strikes half the arena twice. The same half can be struck twice in a row.
- Aethertithe: Deals magical damage over time. The arena changes while the Queen distorts it in a cone. This will hit the left side, right side, and middle. Players trapped in the cone will be sucked in and instantly die.
- Coronation: The Queen deploys drones that places a chasing AoE on all players in succession. Alternatively, two players receive a marker that indicates the front and back of a moving line AoE.
- Prosecution of War: Magical tank buster.
- Virtual Shift: Heavy raid-wide damage. Changes the arena into an hourglass shape or two platforms. Changes some mechanics.
- Downburst: Occurs in the hourglass arena. A knockback from one of the edges followed by a donut AoE.
- Powerful Gust: Occurs in the hourglass arena. A knockback from one of the sides.
- Castellation: Happens in the raised platform arena. Summons a wall with holes that is pushed across the arena. Players must stand in the path of one of the holes in the correct elevation to avoid being knocked back and off.
- Absolute Authority: The Queen Eternal's ultimate attack. Deals massive raid-wide magical damage and continuous raid-wide damage for the duration. Inflicts healers with a gaze and the rest of the party with Authority's Hold, which requires players to stop moving when the debuff expires. Additionally targets DPS with a Flare marker and then Abandonment stack on all players.
Strategy
- Make sure you don't get sucked up by Aethertithe. Stay close to the boss to make dodging easier.
- During the first Virtual Shift phase, the arena changes into an hourglass. Don't get knocked off the arena with the two knockbacks - Surecast and Arm's Length do work on them, though they can only be active for one.
- During the second Virtual Shift, players will experience gravitational fluctuations, causing them to float and drop. Use the elevation to dodge Castellation by being in the right hole. While floating, you can move between platforms, and it is necessary for the Legitimate Force cast towards the end of this phase.
- Mechanics will repeat until 50%, where the Queen will overload and begin to cast Absolute Authority.
- Players must first take the Flares to the outside of the arena, and return to stack with at least one other player for the triangle Abandonment.
- Next, dodge the AoEs and stop moving for the Acceleration Bomb. Keep in mind there is pulsing AoE damage through the mechanic, so keep players topped.
- Finally, look away from the healers who will have a gaze debuff, and continue to heal and dodge AoEs.
Phase Two
Phase two lasts until the Queen has lost two-thirds of her HP.
Mechanics
The Queen Eternal adds the following mechanics to the fight.
- Divide and Conquer: All players receive a line AoE in succession. After all players have been hit, all players receive a line AoE at the same time.
- Aethertithe: Remains the same, but there is a donut AoE right as the second conal AoE goes off.
- Royal Domain: Raid-wide magical damage.
Strategy
This phase continues like the previous. The Queen Eternal will rotate between Divide and Conquer, Aethertithe, and Coronation until she reaches 33.3%. She will then begin to cast Absolute Authority again, but will overload right after the Flares and begin a lengthy cutscene.
Phase Three
In the final phase, you fight against Sphene with the help of Wuk Lamat.
Mechanics
There are only a few mechanics in this phase. Every time Wuk Lamat uses her personal limit break, the boss's health is reduced by 50% of its current health.
- Dynastic Diadem: A donut AoE at the front of the arena.
- Royal Banishment: Pulsing AoE damage with conal AoEs.
Strategy
Defeat Sphene and save the world!
