The Necrotic Wake Dungeon Guide: Location, Boss Strategies, and Trash

The Necrotic Wake is a max-level dungeon located in the east side of Bastion on the Shadowlands.

This guide will be an extensive overview of the dungeon, providing vital information on how to complete it across all difficulties. We will cover all 4 Boss fights, as well as the most notable trash enemies in the dungeon and their important abilities. There are 3 types of weapon in this dungeon, Discharged Anima, Bloody Javelin and Discarded Shield. Each weapon provides a special effect and can be found scattered around the first area of the dungeon until the Amarth boss. The exact location of each item is down below. Here is what the weapons do:

• Discarded Shield reduces the incoming damage by 50% for all party members within 8yds for 6 sec. You can cast spells and move while using the item.
• Discharged Anima is used to damage and silences enemies for 8 sec. A strong item in large pulls packed with caster mobs.
• At last, Bloody Javelin is used to damage all enemies that pierce and increase their damage taken by a small %.

• Blight Bag will Leap on a random target and release Disgusting Guts when slain.
• Patchwerk Soldier will only auto-attack the highest threat target.
• Interrupt Corpse Harvester's Drain Fluids cast. In addition, they will Throw Flesh on random members of your party.
• Use Enrage effect removal for Stitched Vanguard's Seething Rage. Your tank must use its active mitigation before each Bone Claw cast.
• Use the Flesh Crafter's Throw Cleaver to hit nearby enemy mobs and speed up the trash pulls. Any spare kicks should go towards its Repair Flesh channel.
• Interrupt Zolramus Gatekeeper's Necrotic Bolt and use defensives during Wrath of Zolramus cast.

• Use your defensives if you get targeted with Heaving Retch cast. In addition, here is the perfect place to use crowd-control abilities to deny the 3 Carrion Worms to bite you - Blood Gorge.
• Don't stay in the Fetid Gas.

• Use your active mitigation before each Crunch cast.
• Stack the Carrion Worms closer to the Blightbone to enable your team to actively cleave them.
• Move away the boss from any nearby Fetid Gas.

• If you have Disease Dispel, remove the Heaving Retch over-time effect.

• Interrupt Zolramus Sorcerer's Necrotic Bolt and sidestep its Shadow Well ground projectile.
• Zolramus Bonecarver is a harmless mob to your team that will only attack your tank with Boneflay.
• Disregard the mobs surrounding Zolramus Necromancer as they will disappear once you kill him. Use defensives when you get targeted by Grim Fate and interrupt as many Necrotic Bolts as you can.
• Interrupt Skeletal Marauder's Rasping Scream, avoid its Gruesome Cleave frontal and break the Boneshatter Shield to deal a massive chunk of its health.
• Nar'zudah is the perfect place to use your Discharged Anima as he is surrounded by a few caster mobs. Avoid being hit by Death Burst ground visuals, interrupt as many Necrotic Bolts as you can and Dispel or Purge its Dark Shroud buff.
• Avoid the Skeletal Monstrosity's Frigid Spikes ground visual and outrange the Shatter cast.

• Interrupt Necrotic Bolt.
• When Land of the Dead channel happens, make sure to kill all Reanimated Warrior, Reanimated Mage and Reanimated Crossbowmans before Final Harvest happens. If there are any mobs alive, you will likely end up dying unless they are under the influence of the STUN effect.
• When Land of the Dead cast is done, use your spare interrupts for Reanimated Mage's Frostbolt Volley and its Frostbolts.
• Dodge the incoming Necrotic Breath frontal.
• If anyone from the team can Enrage dispel, use it to remove Unholy Frenzy buff!

• Try your best to move towards any existing Reanimated Crossbowman or Reanimated Mages since those are the ones that are static.

• Use your major healing cooldowns after the Final Harvest cast, since the boss will gain Tortured Echoes buff.

• IMPORTANT: Interrupt Corpse Collector's Goresplatter to avoid group-wide Disease damage-over-time. Any spare interrupts should be aimed at their Drain Fluids cast.
• Sidestep the Loyal Creation's Spine Crush frontal and Enrage dispel its Vengeful Rage.
• Kyrian Stitchwerk is exclusively dangerous to your tank due to its stackable Tenderize debuff and its tank-buster ability - Mutilate. You would like to focus on them at all times.
• Goregrind has similar abilities as Kyrian Stitchwerk, but will also include its unique-spell - Gut Slice (avoid the frontal!).
• When Separation Assistant Morbid Fixation you, run away to prevent you from being attacked with Separate Flesh. Any combat-reset spell-like Vanish, Night Elf , Feign Death will cancel the effect.

This is a 2-phased fight, Phase 1 is when Surgeon Stitchflesh is up on a platform and unable to be damaged due to its Noxious Fog aura, in which case you must pull him out with Stitchflesh's Creation's Meat Hook and start Phase 2. Here are more details about the fight:

• Sidestep the Embalming Ichor ground ichor and never stay inside the toxic puddle on the ground.
• Use defensive when you get Stitchneedle Bleed on you.
• If you get targeted by Stitchflesh's Creation's Meat Hook, aim it towards Surgeon Stitchflesh to kickoff Phase 2.
• During Phase 2, do as much damage as you can to the Surgeon Stitchflesh before he Escapes and start Phase 1 all over again.
• Always try to kill 1 of the Stitchflesh's Creation to avoid high damage coming from their Festering Rot aura.
• If you get targeted by Surgeon Stitchflesh's Morbid Fixation run as fast as you can to avoid its Sever Flesh. Any combat-reset spell or Meat Hook will cancel the effect.

• Use your defensive abilities when Stitchflesh's Creation casts Mutilate on you.

• Spot-heal people that have the Stitchneedle Bleed on them.
• Use major healing cooldowns when you have multiple Stitchflesh's Creation due to their Festering Rot auras.

• Dodge the Comet Storm's ground visuals.
• Hold minor cooldowns for each Icebound Aegis. Here is a good place to use your defensive cooldowns.
• If you are chosen for the Dark Exile, manoeuvre through Comet Storm and Blizzard to reach the Zolramus Siphoner. Once defeated, you will be transferred upstairs via the angel and granted Champion's Boon. If you, however, fail to kill the Zolramus Siphoner within the duration of Dark Exile, you will die.

• Use active mitigation when Nalthor the Rimebinder casts Icy Shard on you.

• Use your healing cooldowns during each Icebound Aegis shield.
• Dispel the Frozen Binds once there is noone around the target.

The Necrotic Wake	Defeat Nalthor the Rimebinder in The Necrotic Wake.
Heroic: The Necrotic Wake	Defeat Nalthor the Rimebinder in The Necrotic Wake on Heroic difficulty or higher.
Mythic: The Necrotic Wake	Defeat Nalthor the Rimebinder in The Necrotic Wake on Mythic or Mythic Keystone difficulty.
Keystone Hero: The Necrotic Wake	Complete The Necrotic Wake at Mythic Level 10 or higher, within the time limit.
Bountiful Harvest	Defeat Amarth after he's consumed the corpse of a Grisly Colossus using Final Harvest in The Necrotic Wake on Mythic difficulty.
Ready for Raiding VII	Defeat Nalthor the Rimebinder without being struck by Comet Storm, Blizzard, or the secondary effect of Frozen Binds in The Necrotic Wake on Mythic difficulty.
Surgeon's Supplies	Defeat Surgeon Stitchflesh after destroying two barrels of spare parts in The Necrotic Wake on Mythic difficulty.
