World Boss Guide for WoW: Dragonflight

As of Patch 10.2, 6 Dragonflight world bosses are available on live servers.

Six world bosses are available on live servers as of Patch 10.2.

• Bazual, Liskanoth, Basrikron, and Strunraan are on a fixed rotation dropping Item Level 395 loot.
• The Zaqali Elders added in Patch 10.1 drop Item Level 415 loot.
• Aurostor the Hibernator added in Patch 10.2 drops Item Level 460 loot.

• Week 1: Bazual spawns in the Azure Span.
• Week 2: Liskanoth spawns in Thaldraszus.
• Week 3: Basrikron spawns in the Waking Shores.
• Week 4: Strunraan spawns in Ohn'ahran Plains.
• The Zaqali Elders spawn every week in Zaralek Cavern.
• Aurostor the Hibernator spawns every week in Emerald Dream.

Aurostor is a new boss added in Patch 10.2. The exact spawn location of the world boss is depicted with an Epic World Quest icon on the map of the Emerald Dream.

Aurostor follows a strict regiment of sleep. Fyrrak's assault on the Emerald Dream has disturbed this cycle, rousing the Furbolg Wild God from his slumber too soon. In a sleep-deprived state, this raging Wild God attacks any passersby to wear himself out.

Aurostor rampages around, knocking players aside with Groggy Bash and sending earth flying with Pulverizing Outburst and Cranky Tantrum. Upon reaching 0 energy, he lets out a Slumberous Roar, sharing his insomniatic pain with players.

• Cranky Tantrum fires three straight lines from Aurostor and inflicts heavy Physical damage.
• Players afflicted with Slumberous Roar will cause them to fall into a Vulnerable Slumber.
• Pulverizing Outburst will send Ruptured Earth throughout the area.

Aurostor has a chance to drop the following pieces of Item Level 460 (Champion Rank 3/8) gear, upgradeable to Item Level 476.

• Flame-Etched Breastplate (Plate Chest);

• Crown of Freya's Chosen (Mail Head);
• Grasps of Awakened Fury (Leather Hands);
• Restful Dozer's Shoes (Cloth Feet);

• Aurostor's Sleeping Knickers (Cloth Legs);

Aurostor also drops the yellow runebear customization for Druids.

The Zaqali Elders are a world boss duo comprised of Vakan and Gholna. You can find them in Zaralek Cavern in Zaqali Caldera. The location is highlighted with an Epic World Quest on the map below.

Vakan and Gholna, powerful djaradin elders, are each a master over their respective element. Gholna, with lava, and Vakan, with shadow flame, are locked in constant conflict over who is stronger. Each elder attempts to outdo the other through devastation and chaos until one is crowned victor.

Vakan and Gholna take turns gaining energy to see who can kill the most players. Vakan hurls Enveloping Darkness at random player destinations that summons a Blistering Cyclone. Gholna creates Lava Geysers at random player destinations that erupt and continually inflict Fire damage to several players. At full energy, Vakan unleashes Scorching Eclipse while Gholna casts Incineration. When one is defeated, the other declares victory, reducing their spell's recast time and increasing the rate at which they gain energy.

• Avoid Gholna's Incineration.
• Avoid Vakan's Scorching Eclipse.

• Gholna stacks Searing Touch on random players.
• Vakan stacks Burning Shadows on random players.

• Gholna's Burning Strike applies an application of Searing Touch.
• Vakan's Umbral Smash applies an application of Burning Shadows.
• While Gholna and Vakan are close together, they gain Empowered Rivalry.

The Zaqali Elders have a chance to drop the following pieces of Item Level 415 loot.

• Crown of the Twin Elders (Mail Head);
• Epaulettes of Draconic Conquest (Plate Shoulder);
• Ashen Zaralek Cuirass (Leather Chest);
• Cavernous Foliage Wristbands (Leather Wrist);
• Vakan's Shale Greatbelt (Plate Waist);

Strunraan is located in Ohn'ahran Plains.

Strunraan's presence has been known to make the skies cry. His tempest electrifies the air and wreaks havoc upon the land. Drawn to the gale power, Strunraan now threatens the lands and people of the Ohn'ahran Plains.

Strunraan's gale mastery keeps any threat away with Thunder Vortex and Arc Expulsion. With his electrifying presence, enemies struck by his powers gain Strunraan's Tempest. At 100 energy, Strunraan will take flight and cause Empowered Storm.

• Strunraan's storm-based abilities imbue the inflicted target with Strunraan's Tempest.
• Strunraan will knock players away with Thunder Vortex and Arc Expulsion.
• Overcharge inflicts heavy Nature damage to nearby players.

• Empowered Storm can cause heavy Nature damage.
• Strunraan will knock players away with Thunder Vortex and Arc Expulsion.
• Overcharge and Storm's Strike inflict heavy Nature damage to nearby players.

• Strunraan's storm-based abilities imbue the inflicted target with Strunraan's Tempest.
• Shock Water inflicts heavy damage to all players standing in the water with Strunraan.
• Arc Expulsion inflicts Nature damage to players standing directly in front of Strunraan.

Defeating Strunraan has the chance to yield the following loot:

• Stormshale Cuffs (Cloth Wrist);
• Storm Chaser's Waistguard (Mail Waist);
• Tights of Twisting Winds (Leather Legs);
• Striders of the Sky's Misery (Plate Feet);
• Static-Charged Scale (DPS Trinket).

You will find Basrikron in the Waking Shores.

Basrikron is significantly heavier than his kin and, as such, prefers life on the ground to soaring through the air. Basrikron's surroundings are his to conquer and allow him to perfect his craft. He speaks, and the ground obeys, allowing him to bring to bear the full might of the earth upon those foolish enough to face him.

Basrikron shapes the earth around him with Fracturing Tremor, and Awaken Crag. At 100 energy, Basikron will take flight and plummet with a Sundering Crash, destroying all Fractured Spires and any living Awaken Crags.

• Sundering Crash will detonate all Fractured Spires and Awaken Crags, damaging and knocking nearby players into the air.
• Awaken Crag summons elementals to attack players.

• Sundering Crash will detonate all Fractured Spires and Awaken Crags, damaging and knocking nearby players into the air.
• Shale Breath inflicts heavy Nature damage to its target and increases damage taken.
• Sundering Crash inflicts damage to all players.

• Sundering Crash will detonate all Fractured Spires and Awaken Crags, damaging and knocking nearby players into the air.
• Shale Breath increases Physical damage taken.
• Fractured Spires slow and damage all players near them.

Bazual is found in the Azure Span.

Bazual's unique connection to the Plane of Fire allows him to directly siphon power from the Firelands. With the help of the Primalist forces, Bazual is expanding portals to the Firelands in the Azure Span.

Bazual will blast players with Magma Eruption, leaving behind a pool of molten magma. At 100 energy, Bazual will take to the sky and cast Deterring Flame to set all players ablaze and knock them back. At 40% health, Bazual will empower himself with flames from the Firelands, through Flame Infusion, damaging all players with Searing Heat. While infused, Bazual will cast Rain of Destruction at 100 energy instead.

• Deterring Flame inflicts Fire damage to all players and knocks them back.
• Magma Eruption leaves behind a pool of magma that inflicts Fire damage to nearby players.
• While infused, Bazual will cast Rain of Destruction at 100 energy.

• Deterring Flame inflicts Fire damage to all players and knocks them back.
• While infused, Bazual's Searing Heat inflicts Fire damage to all players every 2 seconds.
• While infused, Bazual will cast Rain of Destruction at 100 energy.

• Lava Breath inflicts heavy damage to all players caught in it.
• Magma Eruption leaves behind a pool of magma that inflicts Fire damage to nearby players.

World boss Liskanoth can be found in Thaldraszus.

Imbued with immense icy power, Liskanoth oversees the land conquered by the Primalists. Liskanoth's presence coasts a chill down the spine of all who encounter her. If left to continue her conquest, Liskanoth will annihilate all who dare enter Thaldraszus.

Liskanoth harnesses her power to confine players with Glacial Storm and Binding Ice Upon reaching 100 energy, Liskanoth ascends to the skies and sweeps the valley, unleashing a powerful Deep Freeze on players below.

• Binding Ice roots players in place until they are defeated.
• Glacial Storm leaves behind frozen patches of ground that reduce players' movement speed.
• Deep Freeze inflicts heavy damage to all in Liskanoth's path and leaves them frozen.

• Glacial Storm leaves behind frozen patches of ground that reduce players' movement speed.

• Chilling Breath inflicts heavy damage and applies Biting Frost to all hit.
